Lauren Acerra started at In Style Weddings and Destinations in July of 2007. She had been planning corporate events for nearly two years before moving to weddings. In May of 2005 she received her Bachelors in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. She followed up her degree by earning a Certification in Meeting and Event Planning from Austin Community College over the next two years and finishing in May of 2007. Lauren is also an active member in the International Special Events Society as well as the Austin Wedding and Event Coordinators. As an ISES member, she not only makes sure to serve on a committee every year, but also received the annual scholarship which paid her way to the 2007 Eventworld Conference in Montreal, Canada. She also built up her resume by shadowing and obtaining a summer internship with other local coordinators.

Lauren loves to spend her time experiencing the flavor and culture of Austin by watching movies at the Alamo Drafthouse, participating in city kickball leagues or frequenting local wine bars and restaurants. She also makes sure to make time to visit family in her home town of San Antonio.
